As a child, I attended a performing arts magnet school near Los Angeles. I loved participating in the school musicals, directed by my mom, Carrie Stock, the drama teacher at the school. I wanted our school to have the same great experiences and memories I had, and started asking why we didn't have plays anymore at Loyal Heights. I learned that it was because we didn't have a director. Well, I knew just who to ask...
Carrie has her undergraduate and master degrees in theatre from the University of Utah and has worked on stage with Colleen Dewhurst, Kathleen Turner, George C. Scott and many other acting legends. Carrie taught honors and advanced placement English at Palos Verdes High School for 7 years and was a drama teacher at South Shores Elementary School, a magnet school for the performing arts, for 4 years. She has run her own interior design studio for the past 20+ years, but her love of the theatre continues. She recently completed a position at the Norris Theatre for the Performing Arts where she served on the board for 5 years. She is also an accomplished chef, seamstress, gardener, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Carrie has agreed to travel from Los Angeles to Seattle on a regular basis to direct our show!
Exactly one week to the day after our final perfomance of Seussical Jr. last May, we asked for permission from the LHPTA to do another musical this year. We are so excited to embark on this exciting experience with you again!
